Jamie Vardy's Rochester New York FC could face a battle to hold on to head coach Bruno Baltazar.

Leicester City striker Vardy is co-owner at the American soccer club after buying a minority stake in 2021. Rochester relaunched as part of their return to professional football and they overcame the odds to reach the MLS Next Pro play-offs.

Baltazar was appointed as head coach in December after previously coaching at Nottingham Forest and managing Estoril, APOEL and Casa Pia. The Portuguese has taken charge of 28 games, winning 16 games.

However, following last month's play-off defeat to Columbus Crew, Baltazar has been linked with the vacant manager job at Championship side Hull City. That's according to the Daily Mail, who claim that the Tigers are aware that Baltazar and assistant Guilherme Ramos have valid work visas until 2026.

Meanwhile, Rochester's sporting director Lee Tucker has emerged as a target for League One side Forest Green Rovers following Rich Hughes' departure to Portsmouth.

The former Torquay United midfielder is credited with building the RNYFC squad from scratch, with players from Brazil, Portugal, England, Cape Verde and Ghana all signed.
